My Friend Got The Keys To Her New House!
Saturday, February 01, 2020
That said, it looks like it will be too tight for both of us to park our cars in her garage. Since it's her house, I'll (understandably) have to park on the street. A few weeks ago, my friend asked that since I will have my own bathroom and parking spot, could she charge me $50 extra for utilities (she originally quoted me $500 per month for everything included)? I didn't really have a choice, so I said yes. So, now that it looks like I won't have my own parking spot after all, I asked her via email (we email each other every day) if she will honor the original $500 quote. I told her that I'm fine still paying her $550, but I figure I'd at least ask. I'll let you know what she says! Also, I'm worried about break ins, theft, and/or hit and runs, especially because I will most likely get a new car when I move out.
I finally got my W2! Now all I need is my Kaiser Permanente and Medicare health insurances proof. I'm hoping that I'll break even this time (I don't expect big refunds).
My new Capital One credit card still hasn't arrived yet. I was about to call them, but I logged onto my online account, and saw that they shipped it already, and that it should arrive on Tuesday. :) Yay!
Last Sunday, I went ahead and changed my TSP (the federal government's version of the 401k) contribution to 12% of my gross pay from 10%. :D I just hope my calculations are correct that I'll still get at least $2,500 net pay per month after this takes effect.
This weekend, I'm staying home. :D I love just relaxing, and taking naps!
So, my friend's going to remodel her new house, and it will take about 2 months. So, it looks like we will be able to finally move in in April, but that's only if she can furnish the house by then. I'm in no rush.
