The Better Sleep Challenge--Days 1 and 2

I didn't have time to post yesterday due to the fact that I had to take my husband to the ER and he ended up getting admitted so here's to two days of evaluations at once!

Day one (January 24th):

What time did you wake up today? 6:30am
What time are you lying down to go to sleep? 10:15 pm
What, if any, was your bedtime routine? Hang out with my husband and unwind in front of the tv for some child free time. I usually go to bed around 9:00 but tonight I was making him his favorite soup
What were the last food(s) you consumed tonight? (Include type, amount, and time you ate.) I believe it was a high-protein sugar free raspberry gelatin around 5
Did you exercise today? (Include the type, duration, and time of day if you exercised.) yes, we did an hour of tai chi at the Y together
Did you consume any alcoholic beverages today? (Include type, number, and time of day.) no
Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or foods today? (Include type, number, and time of day.) a cup of coffee blended with coconut oil and cinnamon
Did you take any medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) today? (Include type, amount, and time of day.) my usual: a prenatal, 2-10,000 iu Vitamin D capsules, biotin, and metformin
Did you take any naps today? (Include number of naps, duration of each, and time of day.) no
What types of stressors did you encounter today, and what types do you expect to encounter tomorrow? nothing outside the norm
How hungry did you feel today? (1- Not hungry, 2- Normal hunger, 3- Strong hunger, 4- Extreme hunger) 1
How awake did you feel today? (1- Exhausted, 2- Somewhat tired, 3- Fairly alert, 4- Wide awake) 4
How irritable did you feel today? (1- Calm, 2- Slightly annoyed, 3- Moderately irritable, 4- Highly irritable)1

Day 2 (January 25)

What, if any, was your bedtime routine? Didn't follow it, with the husband in the ER and all
What were the last food(s) you consumed tonight? (Include type, amount, and time you ate.) a post workout-protein shake around 8 pm
Did you exercise today? (Include the type, duration, and time of day if you exercised.) yes, 25 minutes on the elliptical and weight machines for about an hour
Did you consume any alcoholic beverages today? (Include type, number, and time of day.) no
Did you consume any caffeinated drinks or foods today? (Include type, number, and time of day.) yes, my morning coffee with coconut oil and cinnamon and got a large cold brew with coconut milk from Dutch Bros
Did you take any medications (prescription and/or over-the-counter) today? (Include type, amount, and time of day.) my usual: a prenatal, 2-10,000 iu Vitamin D capsules, biotin, and metformin

What types of stressors did you encounter today, and what types do you expect to encounter tomorrow? Husband going to the ER, Kids up past their bedtimes
How hungry did you feel today? (1- Not hungry, 2- Normal hunger, 3- Strong hunger, 4- Extreme hunger) 1-not very, I'm pretty used to my diet by now
How awake did you feel today? (1- Exhausted, 2- Somewhat tired, 3- Fairly alert, 4- Wide awake) 2-Right now I'm pretty awake but this whole house is going to bed early
How irritable did you feel today? (1- Calm, 2- Slightly annoyed, 3- Moderately irritable, 4- Highly irritable) 3-my child who kept me from falling asleep last night and then frequently woke me up will not go back to sleep even though she needs to
