Its been the hottest winter on record in GA. Its 80 degrees almost everyday. Wowza!
I was 28 when I first signed up for Sparkpeople. I was single. No kids. Weighed around 227 lbs. In graduate school.
Now I'm 39. I'm married 10 years. Have one child. Weigh 290 lbs. Yack! Going through perimenopause. Yuck again! Never did work again after Joey besides a side job here and there.
I dated my husband in 2009 when he was in the army. He got out in 2010 after his final deployment and he landed a job within about 3-4 months. He still works there 10 years later and he has decided to use his GI Bill to attend culinary school and he is really enjoying it.
I have no idea what I want to be. I'm just a tired mom. I'm tired a lot but I have been. I deal with a lot of chronic health issues but I can still get day to day errands done. I'm helping my husband with school and I help my son with school.
My son is extremely gifted and has the worst ADHD his teacher has ever seen. Talk about ironic. If it weren't for his ADHD he'd probably have the highest grades in his class while barely having to crack a book. He still won't crack a book but he is a B and C student due not being about to complete his classwork. Hopefully we can find a winning combination of medications that will help him over the hump.
If I had the time, I'd go to the beach every other week and do more eco tours in the area. I'd read more. I'd listen to more podcasts. I'd look for an income source. I'd love to be more independent again if given the chance.
I turn 40 this year. I could not tell you how in the world I will ever approach weight loss. I have a ton of food sensitivity so I can't grab a protein bar. I can't stomach broccoli or cauliflower. Can't do yogurt. I snack too much when I'm home. I wish I could exercise but my heart doesn't act right when I do so I'm afraid to do too much.
