MAMADEE's Blog: SP ~ Day 4981

That's how I felt early this morning as I prepared to fight rush-hour traffic, school zones, and freezing drizzle to get to the first of my appointments before 8:00 A.M. today!

So many appointments later, and driving in ICY SNOW, slippery roads, passing multiple vehicle accidents on my way home; all I could say was...

To God be the glory
Great things He has done!

Missing some accidents by mere seconds!
Being able to come to stop when needed, when clearly others were not!
Staying focused while driving as conditions deteriorated!
All things I know I did not do on my own power!!!

Once inside, every inch of every muscle ached ~ some more, some less. All I could do was just sit there and allow my body to de-stress, unwind, calm down, return to "normal" before I could even consider getting my lunch together. emoticon

The appointments were essential medical appointments. Although the first one I had considered cancelling back on Friday; but the office had already closed when I called at 3:30 that afternoon. I learned they close the office early every Friday! Even if I'd left a message, they would not know until they opened again Monday morning - and I was one of the very first appointments; so I'd have a cancelation fee to pay! But I'm glad I went! It was very productive! I believe I've found the right neurologist to be a regular part of my healthcare team! emoticon Not an easy task, I assure you!

I kept my afternoon on the easy side - resting - enjoying some hot tea & honey and watching the snow fall out my windows. There will be ice on the car to deal with early Tuesday morning but roads should be well-plowed by then. Once I'm done driving my girls to their jobs I'll catch up on all the stuff at home that I did not do today! emoticon
Guess you could say I turned this afternoon into my own kind of SNOW DAY! emoticon

Til next time,
