Yesterday, I was so excited, because I was supposed to get my permanent dental crown placed; it had been a pain for 2 weeks, because I had to chew on only my left side, and I had to floss differently. Anyway, I went in, and my dentist showed me my new crown, and it looked extremely yellow! :( He said that the crown's color didn't match the rest of my teeth, and asked if I still wanted him to cement it in, or if I wanted the lab to re-tint it to match the rest of my teeth. I hesitated for a few seconds, but I ultimately asked him to send it back. So, the office is going to call me when my second crown is ready. I'm very upset, because they wasted my time--the dentist should have requested that the lab create the crown to match the color of my teeth in the first place, and now, I might have to take more time off of work for the second, unnecessary appointment! :( I was nice about it yesterday, and didn't show my anger, but no one at the office even apologized for wasting my time! Also, the receptionist said I owe them $260! :( I told her that I already paid $400 last time, and that the other receptionist at the time said that my insurance will cover the rest. The current receptionist said that she will talk to the other receptionist, and that if I still owe them money, they will bill me. Grrr!
My eye's bruising is getting better, but it's still swollen. In case you are curious, here is what my eye looks like now. I am bare faced (no makeup):
Yesterday, I met my best friend, and she (like my plastic surgeon) said that it should be acceptable for me to go back to work tomorrow, so that's what is going to happen. I don't want to go back to work, though! :( Oh well.
Here's the Paradise Cake I got for my mom yesterday from King's Hawaiian Bakery & Restaurant:
I don't know why the right side caved in a little. The cake was good! :)
I'm pretty much done with my Christmas shopping...I just need to get some gift bags. I'm a gift card person, so I'm going to wrap all the gift cards on Christmas Eve (I'm taking that day off). I do have $100 left of my Christmas Fund, so I have to figure out what to do with that. I'm thinking about giving it as cash to my dad for Christmas, because he rarely has money to go shopping for fun, but I asked my mom about it, and she said he might just waste it, so I don't know.
