I have used this picture before but I do love this old gal. I feel like someone beat the stuffing out of me today. I already hit up some cold/sinus meds cause my forehead has those kinds of wonkiness going on. The back hurts so I took a long hot shower...I do yoga in the shower. I guess it's a little like hot yoga. I have to get the turmeric on board here shortly. There's a cold front moving in and you can say a body doesn't know such things, and has no capacity to predict weather, but my joints say otherwise.

Today is day 708 of logging on here. Yesterday I barely made it, I was so busy... Dog bath, and that means the bathroom gets scrubbed from top to bottom. 92 lb, German Shepherd shaking with fur and water flying everywhere annihilates the place. It does look really great in there today. After the dog bath, I made a huge pot of delicious cabbage soup. I love winter cuisine! Today I think I will make some Kodiak power cakes parmesan muffins to go with it. My g.daughter arrived just after getting that together so the rest of the day was BUSY with her. We did have a good day. I had a jigsaw puzzle, 1000 piece laid out and she dug into that for about an hour. We finished a vision board that we started in October. We made cookies and yes I ate too many...sent the rest home with her. We did a little decorating and watched Home Alone. My evening ended up crashing on the couch with a glass of wine.

Now that the dog is bathed, I have a major vacuuming to do. It loosened up fur and it's everywhere. If you ever consider getting a German Shepherd, know that they shed 24/7, all seasons and A LOT! I tired a new conditioner on him that has oatmeal base, just in case his incessant nibbling his legs is dry skin. I was awakened at 2 a.m with him feverishly gnawing his leg. I gave him 2 Boom Sticks (dog biscuits that have valerian in them) and 20 minutes later he was out, snoring. And, I laid there awake! I love Boom Sticks. Yesterday there was roofing going on 2 doors down and he didn't bark at all (usually he goes nuts). If you have a nervous dog, these are available on line (unless you live in Omaha Nebraska where you can get them at pet stores) at Love Yo Pup- Omaha. A friend makes them, they are all organic. She makes some other doggie treats as well.

Have a really amazing day emoticon

Barometer joints, oh yeah! I add a tsp of turmeric to my oatmeal every morning, seldom do I have to augment with an ibuprofen any more. Morning stretching and ROM exercises are also essential in my life.
Might try adding a spoonful of hemp oil to Hossa's food, it is readily available at pet stores here, totally non hallucegenic. I had a Labrador who suffered constantly from dry skin and that solved the issue.

Yes, our bodies can predict the weather as the 15 lbs. of stainless steel in my left leg will tell me things in a heartbeat!!!

K9~Solutions is looking for a hypoallergic dog for me to train with as a service dog and I am excited yet unsure at the same time!!! I have only taken care of the two dogs that my Aunt had at the house but nothing more and I am wondering if I will be equipped to do that in my less than 1,000 square foot condo. We will see as soon as they find a dog.
