Daily Highlight 277 - Breathe Deeply

The strangest conversations are the ones I have with myself. Last night:
"I want to chew on something."
"Take a breath, inhale slowly feel your ribs expand and stomach rise, pause, exhale fully."
"Okay that worked."
"I need to gnaw."
"Fine, that helped."
"I need a snack."
"No you don't, you only think you do."
"But I want it..."
"It's not helping. I need something to chew on."
"What do you really want?"
" I want to be healthier, move easier, have less pain."
"Are you going to get there by Nighttime Gnawing?"
"No... I guess I'll breathe deeply to help me get to my goal."
I didn't give into the craving. The desire did pass.
Breaking a habit or craving is tough it can be done. Breathing and thinking of my ultimate goal helped me be successful.
Good customer service, saved me from making an extra trip.
Having a Plan B when what you want is out of stock for the season.
Having stamina to go out shopping.
