Making Cards & Thanking Others

Homemade cards are the best. The time and thought that goes into the process is priceless.
This is a tough Christmas for me with my Mom’s health and energy declining. We have made Christmas cards every year for as long as I can remember. Making them without her is difficult, but decided to pass on this tradition to others.
I’m making cards with my students! They love it.
My cards go to family, friends and the nursing home staff where my mother resides. Every week, I make a point of thanking one person who works with my mother at the Nursing Home. It is not hard to find someone who is doing excellent work! It might just be my imagination, but I think that the staff is treating my mother and me better since I’ve started this practice! I also bring in crackers and cheese for the staff.
Who will I say thank you to next? I’m watching to see who is nice.
What about you? Do you make it a practice to thank people in writing? Send a copy to their boss, and watch the reaction. “You cannot do a kindness too soon because you never know when it will be too late!
