Day 2: Do you trust yourself

Tuesday, November 19, 2019

Trust is a powerful thing. It can either help you or break you. It can also be used in many different meanings making it be a very powerful word.

I recently listened to a blog on YouTube on a struggle someone was having because they did not trust themselves. You can make plans but then when those plans are broken, you get in this downward spiral of not trusting yourself. Not believing in yourself. I looked up the full definition of trust and it really does ring true.....

Trust means;

1.firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.

1.believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of.

I think this is part of my problem. I need to stop that downward spiral and start trusting myself. If I mess up one day, this doesn't mean I am not reliable. I need to trust in the process, trust in my ability, and trust that I can do this.

Listening to the blogging it really did make me think. She said that once she started trusting herself, she was able to make the change she wanted. Having no self doubt!

So how about you.... do you trust yourself? And if you do, do you trust yourself fully?

    I tend not to trust myself, as I've let myself down SO many times. But I don't think I should feel that way as I've been such a work in progress over the last couple of years. I am a work in progress and can have confidence that I don't want to throw that good work away.
