Straight In The EYE!

While reading an article on how to motivate myself I looked at tips that could help. The first suggestion was to look at the why you wanted to reach your goal and list them. Was it to look better in the mirror, to be able to climb stairs without losing breath, to lower blood pressure?
The next suggestion was - if you are not sure what you really want for the end game then think about things that make you smile or bring you joy. Let this be a reason to motivate you.
I think the suggestion for looking the excuse right in the eye would be the most motivating for me . Look the excuse straight in the eye - am I really too tired - do I really have something more important to do or do I really just want to finish the good book I started? If I am totally honest with myself the excuse won't work. I may fail for a few times, but the idea is to mentally get tired of the excuses and break this habit. If I believe my own phony excuses I would never change my behavior. It is really a decision to tell the truth!
If I want the reward I must do the work!
