Good morning friends.. it's dank and dreary here today. so glad the Jets are playing away! I have church and a youth group meeting, catch a little of the game after YG, I need to clean my house, it's gotten a little disorganized again and then go next door and eat ice cream cake for my nephew's and brother's birthday. Well the only things I have to do are church and youth group and go next door..the rest are "optional".. LOL.
I am soooo sore this morning.. 4 adults, 5 kids, 4 houses, 47 1/4 bags of leaves later.. then throw in some bowling and these muscles ache.. Yes I kick box 3-4 times every single week, yes I run a few miles as well, yes I throw in some yoga and stretching.. but when you use your body differently for several hours you engage other muscles, the neglected ones ...
Anyway yesterday was a brisk day, but he sun was shining, the winds kicked up from time to time. but we worked diligently and lovingly, we started at the first house which has the most leaves (know this from experience) for two reasons, one it is so close to the one church, two after accomplishing that house, the rest were less formidable.. when the task was done we headed to the local pizzeria where we had lunch and I fully partook in the meal. Two slices in fact, one Nonna (smaller square, thin crust, fresh mozzarella) and one regular...
I knew I would need to have a more nutritious dinner so I stopped at Wegman's and picked out some sea bass and tuna... Came home, quick shower and a power nap on the couch, and then prepared dinner, seared tuna, with seaweed salad and edamame, which means minimal attention to the hair style so I pulled out my blue fedora to match my cute blue top.. should have taken a picture..
My bowling scores were meh, but I was having the best time, they music was great, salsa on the lanes.. good times for every one.
Came home and plopped on the couch content in the overall activity.. wanted a snack and so I made some fat free greek yogurt with 1 tsbp cheesecake flavored jello and frozen fruit on top. Still wanted something so I had a belvita banana breakfast bar with chocolate hummus on top.. and then finally I had 2 of the mini reeces cups that were left over from the afternoon that I had given to the kids after pizza (leftover from Halloween)..
Oh yeah baby, huge dip into the weeklies last night under every color of the rainbow.. did I mention there was some vodka involved? 🙈🙉🙊.. but use them or lose them right. Definitely a #bigpuzzlepiece day very necessary in the landscape of my life's design!
Have a blessed Sunday.. not hungry yet, so no idea what I will have for breakfast but ice cream cake is on the menu so I will plan accordingly.. I do know that lunch will be that sea bass.. I bought a hichaya persimmon, a star fruit, an asian pear and I have an orange bell pepper.. so I will make some sort of chutney for that and I have some brussels sprouts which I may shave with some carrots to make a little slaw to go with it..
I could use a hot bath or a massage but my tub will not hold water, I do not have a massage scheduled, so I instead will do some light yoga stretching, drink a lot water and take some ibuprofen to soothe these muscles which are a bit annoyed with me at the moment. Then I will finalize my meeting agenda for today before heading off the mass and then youth group.. signing always heals what hurts..
