Warning... RANT! The CT Scan results are back!
Saturday, November 16, 2019
So I had the total shoulder replacement surgery on Nov 7 2018... last year. 53 weeks ago.
It’s still not working after 9 months of Physical Therapy, 2 or 3 times a week and Countless massage treatments (not covered by insurance).
Orthopedic Dr tells me “it should by working” (duh!) ...and sends me to yet another Physical Therapist
I’m now driving 70 miles for Physical Therapy and still faithfully logging my daily routine workouts online.
Finally, My PCP sends me to another Dr, a shoulder specialist, for a second opinion.
The Specialist sends me for a CT scan with contrast dye (was done on Tuesday) and schedules nerve and muscle conduction testing (scheduled for next March)
Results of the CTScan are back and indicate I have a full tear of my rotator cuff, the tendon is detached completely, and I have damage in part of my rib and lung is partially collapsed.... this was all post surgery because it sure wasn’t there prior to surgery.
while I’m not a happy camper, at least we may now have a clue and getting closer to be getting my active life back.
whine, whine, gripe and moan......
Thank you for listening.
