Day 10 of this wonderful journey / 3 things I am grateful for today November 14,2019

Isn't life great - I so love the changing of the seasons, we have had skiff of snow, so the cold winter can move on - but as hubby say 'In 4 months we will have flowers trying to spring up'

I am making amazing progress - just taking it one day at a time, telling myself that I just need to eat the food I have planned for the day just for today and before I know it the day has come to an end.'

Have had one small somewhat temptation when I thought this afternoon that I wouldn't mind having a Brisk Lemonade - but that came and left just a quick because as quickly it entered I told myself 'Do I really want to break the streak I am on' and my answer was 'No.' So I can say I have made it through today with 3 meals, no snacks, measuring all my food that I ate, got in my water and have written in my paper journal.

Am seeing NSV (non scale victories) even this soon in the progress. I am sleeping better, am finding I can stand longer therefore able to help out once again in the kitchen rather than having to sit and help. My IBS discomfort has improved already. Last 2 days I have taken the blood from the finger to test re sugar and diabetes. One month a go the numbers were somewhere between 6.5 - 6.9 which is good but could be a lot better. When I look at the numbers the last 2 days the numbers are in the 5.1 - 5.6 range which is a great improvement. By the way I live in Canada so if anyone reading this is in the USA your numbers for this would read higher.

Shared the program I am on with a friend today - she is in her 60's, many illnesses, walks with a cane and very obese. We talked on the phone and after asking how I was and what I was up to I shared my success with my weight. She shared that this was great and asked a lot of question and is going to get the book. I told her that should she decided that she wanted to give this a try, let me know and I would do what I can to encourage her as support is really necessary as temptation is all around us.

Tonight for dinner we made Not My Mom's Meatloaf = but rather than ground beef used ground chicken. Decided that it would be better with the beef - but that could be because we like ground beef better than ground chicken. So next time that is what we do as other wise it was good recipe

3 things I am grateful for today are

(1) grateful that I have followed the plan of no sugar no flour for 10 days being 100% complaint = Praise the Lord

(2) grateful for great music and that husband enjoys listening, playing the guitar and singing

(3) grateful for the city I live in

Day 10 of going no sugar and no flower and have lost 11 pounds doing so

Pedometer reads 1,592 steps = close to getting 2,000 which is 1 mile
