Bo Jo and Bob

Wednesday, November 13, 2019

This is Bo Jo.

He was residing in my kitchen pretending to be a boiler.  Tbf he is a boiler.  Or was.  But he don't work no more.  He's named after our erstwhile so called Prime Minister - Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson.  In fairness to Bo Jo - he probably did work at one time whereas Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson has never done a day's work in his life.  Let's hope that soon Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson is every bit as much an ex Prime Minister, as Bo Jo is an ex boiler.

This is Bob.  Bob the Boiler.  Named after the gas fitter/plumber that fitted him today [Robert].

He's a bit of a tease as he's not actually functioning yet.  But will be tomorrow.  Oh deep joy.  Running hot water and heating.  There'll be no time to indulge in such luxury because my new kitchen is arriving tomorrow.  When I say new, I mean the secondhand kitchen I won the auction for on eBay.  £273 for more units than I need and work surfaces. Going to be fun getting that in the house, ripping the old units out [and the tiling], then jiggling things around to re fit the kitchen.

The Worker [Friend?] is part of this equation and frankly his last chance to begin to redeem himself.  Just spoke with him on the 'phone to say we need to have a plan as to how to tackle things.  "Get the units in and then......." he said.  Stop right there.  "In order to get the units in, the range cooker you left in the middle of the living area has to be moved and I can't possibly do that".  "oh".

I'm trying to figure out how to make space and reduce the stress levels of all involved.  A little bit of pre planning goes a long way imo.  The next few days are going to be manic, stressful, and difficult.  Anything to alleviate the difficulties has to be good.  I'm saying, "what can I do ahead to make this easier"  and he's not even thinking beyond meeting the courier and loading up.

He's probably also not considering that one way or another I'll need to be able to cook. Though it will very much come into his consideration once he's here. I can manage as long as I can plug in Marie the [combination] micro wave somewhere. Doesn't even have to be in the kitchen. The impossible I do at once. Miracles take a little longer!

It will be an 'interesting' few days to say the least.............

Bright blessings
