Goals & Gratitude 11/6/19

I am in San Diego for a women's leadership conference, and I'm having a great time. I came down yesterday so I could get settled in my AirBnB. It's very, well, cozy. Tiny more like! But it's perfect for one person. I can't imagine having more than two people in it as I find myself tripping over myself! There's barely room for any furniture.
Today was the first day of the conference. My two favorite speakers were Sarah Thomas, the first female NFL referee, and John O'Leary, a motivational speaker who nearly died at the age of 9 when he was in a fire and burned 100% of his body. Great great speakers and really inspiring. I met some nice people and did a little network and passed out business cards. I didn't meet anyone from California, though. People from all over the country are here. My biggest mistake was how I was dressed. I was wearing a red skirt with a matching top, and I was one of the brightest people in the room. Most people were wearing black or gray. I forget how conservative the business world can be. Luckily I have some dark colored clothes for the next two days.
It is 8:00 PM now and I am bushed. I would like to do some homework, but I think I'm going to pack it in and go to bed. I did get a bunch of homework done this morning before heading over. Tomorrow's another long day.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) A successful first day of the conference.
2) Beautiful weather.
3) New friends.
