Hi,

Saturday was my wake up call - I knew I needed to start making some changes so I did! Plain and simple. I had e-mailed SparkCoach and their reply was inspiring and helpful.

I am starting out small. Since my acid reflux has really been acting up, I decided to work on that. I figured my triggers are overeating, eating overly rich and/or fatty foods, eating too quickly and night time eating. Emotionally eating is my downfall and one I need to work on. I am going to try to address it myself but am not adverse to seeking the services of a psychologist.

On Sunday, I bought a bag of rolled oats and have been eating that every morning. Nothing fancy - just throw the oats and water in the microwave and I take it to work. It seems to be filling me up quite nicely. I've also increased the amount of freggies and I'm being careful about our supper meal. Last night I slipped up and made a casserole out of broccoli and cauliflower (my husband doesn't like the latter) and I think it was too rich. I woke up with a bit of acid reflux during the night. Lesson learned!

My psychiatrist added in a small dose of another antidepressant with the one I have been taking for months and I think (knock on wood) that it might be doing the trick.

The weather has been quite nice too so I've been out walking in the afternoons.
