A Day of Rest
Monday, October 21, 2019
Woke up so tired this morning and the gray skies helped that feeling quite well. Tim and I headed to church and once home I took a short nap and then it was time for football and the jigsaw puzzle. I believe I chose the wrong piles to start with though....the trees are plentiful and so similar. I finally gave up for the day and will try to spend time in the daylight hours on those so I can see the vague differences easier.
The football games today that were aired here weren't that exciting to watch as one of the teams would be having a definite off day. I like it when the score is closer. I did start to watch the Eagles/Cowboys tonight, but chose fun time with the kids instead.
Tim got off for the airport about 4:30 and unfortunately he had a 2 1/2 hour delay as they needed to bring in another plane from Portland. Nice that he had a 3 hour layover in Salt Lake so he should be okay getting to Reno tonight. I hope so.
The routine on Tim's travel night out is to order pizza so that's what we did and we turned on Aladdin (the new one) to watch. At some point we heard a knock on the door and Maegann was prepared with a butcher knife when she went to open it. I didn't know she had the knife until after! It turned out to be Tayler. Basically it was one last try on his part to reach her and then he would know how to proceed with his life. This time she wasn't shutting him down completely and by the end of an hour they were back on track. I don't know what I said that made her head and heart click again, but something did. I was just trying to get Tayler an answer as to whether she was willing to give them a try or not so he could leave knowing with 100% direction. So.... we'll finish Aladdin tomorrow.
Now I'm watching Criminal Minds before heading to bed myself. Tomorrow I will handle any work emails, decorate for fall and just enjoy the day. I do have to take Ellsworth to the vet in the morning (nails and stinky glands) and Auggie has nails in the afternoon. I'm planning on Maegann taking Auggie since she's home.
