Goals & Gratitude 10/19/19

Today has been a long day, and it's not over yet! I woke up at 6 am to feed the cats and never fell back asleep, which is rare for me. I think I was thinking about that term paper and how much I wanted to get it done, so I got up just after 7. After breakfast and whatnot, I started the paper and got that done put two other homework assignments and I was all done with homework by 11:30 am. I think that is a new record for me! I was just Sparking and relaxing and thinking of all the books I was going to read today when my friend B. called me. She is a hairdresser and worked this morning and she had a very bad morning at work. Lots of grumpy customers and too few stylists, it seems! So I asked her if she'd like to go out to lunch to her favorite restaurant (BJs) and that perked her up. She came over and picked me up and we headed out. I wanted to eat something yummy but also try to stay in my calorie range and have enough to bring leftovers home. I had a club sandwich with fries and a salad. I ate half the salad and boxed up the rest, one stack of the four that is the club sandwich, and most of the fries. I brought everything else home. I'm still not hungry but I know I will be around 8 or 9 pm, so I am planning to have one stack of the club sandwich and some more salad. That will leave half the sandwich for tomorrow and Monday. Good thing I'm stretching out my food out!
I only have a quiz to do tomorrow and I am done for the weekend. I need to review the study guide before I take it, but that won't take long. It is 40 multiple choice questions (I think-- maybe 50?) and I have an hour and a half to do it. It usually takes me about 45-60 minutes to do. And with that, I will be finished with another class (Import/Export). I start two new classes on Monday, but I don't have to worry about those until then.
My friend S. is coming to sleep on my couch tonight. I need to go clean the living room after I get done here. She's visiting So. Cal. from Wisconsin and attending a conference while she's here. I haven't seen her in three years and I am really looking forward to seeing her. I'm just sad her son J. isn't with her as I have never seen him. She was pregnant when she moved from CA to WI. I don't know if we'll have much time to catch up tonight as she's supposed to get here pretty late, but I should get to see her for awhile on Sunday or Monday too.
1) That last quiz for Import/Export.
2) Go for a walk.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That I could cheer my friend B. up.
2) That the park was full of little league players having their Saturday games today. It was nice to hear all the parents cheering as I was walking.
3) That S. is coming in a few hours!
