I went to an education class on insulin pumps today. I learned a few things, (yes, even this old dog can learn a thing or two, lol) but I don't think a pump is for me. Not quite as simple to use as it might sound at first AND very expensive. I really wanted to find out about continuous glucose monitors but that is also very expensive - after initial cost, the ongoing cost was about $90 a month - too much for someone on a fixed income pension.
As much as I hate poking my fingers, it is much cheaper so I guess I will just suck it up and continue with that. They have some new lancets out that don't hurt nearly as much, so I will be switching to that.
It's been a long time since I attended an education class so all in all, I found the session interesting and helpful.
