Happy Thanksgiving day to my fellow Canadians.
Sis cooked a turkey last weekend because a couple of her kids were able to come home then. I wasn't feeling well so I did not join them.
So today we had "our" Thanksgiving. Sis and BIL picked me up just before noon and we went to one of my fav restaurants. Well it was a fav when I lived in the lower mainland in BC but when I moved to Alberta, there were no outlets of this chain here. So I have not been to an outlet in over 10 years. The restaurant is close to where they live. It was very busy but we got seated quite quickly. We all had the grilled chicken off the senior's menu. It was very juicy and tender. It came with 2 sides of choice, and even though it was a senior's menu, there was a lot of food on the plate! We stuck with water to drink and did not bother with desert.
It was a mix between rain and snow when we left my place. As we were eating we could see through the windows as the snow build in intensity. However, it had lightened up considerably by the time they dropped me off at my apartment later. First snowfall of the season, but it didn't stay because it's not cold enough yet. I mean it is cold -- been below freezing several nights in a row -- but it warms up to a couple of degrees above freezing during the day.
I hope everyone had a great day, wherever you may be and whatever this day may mean to you.
