Back at it again

Friday, October 11, 2019

So I had my partial hysterectomy 6 weeks ago. It's been a rough six weeks but overall I am doing well. Doctor stated he had to repair things before he could even perform the hysterectomy. He said it was no wonder why I was having so many issues. He said that I even had signs of pre-cancer starting, so the decision was the best option for me. Scary part is, I had even 2nd guess the decision before the surgery and almost backed out. I am so happy I didn't and that I did not do this operation in vain. He said my parts were very damaged and had massive scar tissue, one of the worst he had seen in years. I am just happy that I was not crazy regarding all of my symptoms and issues I was having. He stated it might be the cause of my hyperthyroidism, fibromyalgia, headaches and other issues I have been having, including losing weight and being anemic. He said that my uterus weighed 5 pounds, because it was so enlarged. I am just so happy this is all done. Hopefully, now I will be ok. Still have ovaries and he did see a cyst but stated it should go away on it's own, but will keep an eye on it.

On another note, even with lack of exercise I still have manage to lose 8 pounds so far and I am doing everything I am allowed just to continue. Yeah, it helped losing that uterus, but I still maintained that weight loss so I consider that a win.So as of Wednesday, I have been cleared to go back to normal activities so that is what I am going to do and I am so excited for this new chapter in my life.

Thank you for reading my blog, have a wonderful day.

emoticon Be gentle with yourself while you heal. Range of motion, flexibility, and gentle movement will be best to keep too much scar tissue from forming.
