On My Way to Get Puppy & Weight Down

My weight is down 1.6 pounds since last week. I take that as a big win, considering my recent struggles with my appetite. It proves I can lose weight if I am objective about my behaviors and use positive self-talk to get back on track. Hopefully, I am over this recent bout of self-sabotage.

Last night I made lunch for the road trip. This morning I was up at 5 AM, weighed in, posted it, did my Duolingo Spanish lesson, ate breakfast, recorded my meal, did a tidy up, watched the news, and now to finish packing. It's a 5.5 hour drive with our truck and trailer, so it's important we are through Seattle before rush hour.

I am excited to be going to Portland to get my puppy. I want to do a little sightseeing, shopping, and relaxation before we get her on Sunday afternoon. If it seems like I am obsessed about this puppy, I AM! I look forward to hiking, snuggling and playing with her. She will be my companion for the next 14 years or so, as I have lifestyle transitions and need an active dog to keep me active.
