Starting Over Again

I appreciate the comments left on my blog recently. I needed to reread some of my posts from years ago! I had pneumonia in January and surgery in May and am now getting back on track. I just finished post-surgery physical therapy last week which was 2 days a week of upper body work. And, I have been doing Pilates with an instructor 1-2x per week... depending on both of our schedules. I also bought a spin bike. I had hit my highest weight ever after the pneumonia and while in pain waiting for surgery. I have now lost 8 pounds in the past 2 months!!! But I’m still at my “highest” weight... though just by a few pounds. I need a plan. I need a goal... a fitness goal like a race, not a weight goal. My knee still has issues and I don’t know if I can run. Anyway, I’m hoping to figure out my new path and get back to being healthy! Thank you, Spark People, for always being there even when I’m away!!! emoticon

    Welcome back! I am in a similar circumstance (illnesses getting in the way, and leading to weight gain), but I am very certain that both of us can find a way to get back on track. Glad you’re feeling better!
