MAMADEE's Log: SP - Day 4918
Not too long ago I added Dancing to my activities.
"Dancing: Slow, Waltz, Foxtrot" as it shows up in my Fitness Log here.
It's not exactly accurate.
But it's the closest I can get for now.
It began with the desire for more music in my life.
Music just naturally leads to dancing!
And when you're like me, depending on canes, crutches, walkers, and so on to maintain balance ~~~ and you are alone, don't have a dance partner to lean on...
Let's just say my current form of dancing is a lot slower in form than in mind
In time, I've no doubt it will improve! (see my NSV blog)
By now, you're aware of my little walking bits - taking about 10 minutes out of almost every waking hour to get up and move... mostly by simple walking in a 100- or 200-step track in my apartment. When the 'more music' bug hit me, some of those "walks" began getting a few dance steps added in. Then I began "dancing" that same path! Sometimes I did a twangy little two-step; other times I got into a waltzy four-step. I'm sure what it looks like to onlookers (if there were any - lol) was nothing like what I was thinking it was!
But it's fun!
It's gives variety to my mundane life!
And it often makes me laugh too!
Great way to MOVE and add steps to your day!
