WATERMELLEN asked me to blog about my Nia class and I'm happy to do so. The class is offered as part of our OLLI program.

Nia or Neuromuscular Integrative Action is a blend of dance movement, martial arts and yoga and there are several 'levels'. Our class is Moving to Heal (M2H)

M2H uses 'classic' (harder) Nia routines as a foundation for simplified choreography performed standing or in a chair. It contains 7 cycles of Setting the Focus, Stepping In, Get Moving, Cool Down, Floor Play, and Step Out. M2H follows The Body’s Way® and includes a body awareness check at the beginning of class and a body gratitude expression at the end of class.

And for those living in Lincoln, Jennifer Hilkemann teaches 2 'drop-in' classes @ the Unitarian Church Monday and Thursday from 10:30-11:30 (one right after our class) for $5/class.
A really cool way to Intentionally Celebrate the

of Life Daily; becoming "AWAKE, ALIVE, AWARE AND APPRECIATIVE OF ALL that IS" while not letting doubt build mountains and practicing the “good medicine” of Gratitude.
