Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

My training coach posted on Facebook this morning a sort of thought for the day - he sometimes does this as he progresses on his learning and clearing journey and it sometimes relates to fitness but in reality things can be applied to many things in our lives. Sometimes his own thoughts, sometimes other people's thoughts, sometimes song lyrics - and many resonate with me - so I thought I'd share this one today.
When I was in earlier we were chatting about things weighing on me in a class I tried last night where I tried to not let things bother me in the class - like folks coming late, like someone's shoes smell. He's always a sounding board I feel. I'm not saying this is about me - but it does resonate with me.
"Sometimes it feels like the weight of the world is on my shoulders, as I'm sure it does with most of you. What we do with this overwhelming feeling of stress depends completely on perspective. Some people let it consume them- while others seem to thrive from it.
If the weight of your burdens comes mostly from overextending yourself for others with no return- be patient because the positive energy we throw out there will always come back at one point or another.
If your stress is coming from outside sources that you cant change or influence, then just let it go! We should never stress over the things we have no control over. If you can find comfort and progress during your most stressful times then when the weight of the world has been alleviated- you will perform 1000x better!
Don't sweat the small stuff"
And I often think that someone that looks like that and is so loved by so many must not have any insecurities and yet he does.
good message to hear today for me because right now I am sweating on several things which others might think are small :)
