September 4, 2019 - Here's something I didn't need

Wednesday, September 04, 2019

Driving this for the next few days. Why? Someone at my work in the parking garage last Thursday got too close to my car and this was the result:

So, I come out after work to find this small white car parked 6 inches from the drivers side of my car (please note there were no other cars on either side for 2 spaces when I parked and no cars on either side of us when I returned). I look and realize I cannot get in between to the cars, let alone open the door to get in. So I crawled in over the gear shift/center space (no easy feat) to drive off. Thought...should I leave a note of complaint? Nah, want to get home. When I get home this is what a found (see above). Totally ticked now.

Not much I could do after the fact. And today I find I am faced with an $800 bill to fix. I do believe in karma...so I been sending evil thoughts out!

Overdid things today food-wise. We were celebrating a colleagues engagement with bagels and I made chocolate brownies. Had a bagel but only ate the brownie crumbs...so, some restraint. Made myself a nice spinach salad tonight. Now more water and steps!

OH my. Definitely it is tempting to get revenge, fi you will, but ends up not panning out anyhow. So sorry that happened to your car. **SIGH**

I usually have brief evil thoughts... but have learned it is best to turn it over.

A co-worker slashed our pool liner, he was rude and drunk when he first visited my home while I had dinner guests. Called the police, they really could not do anything about it. The guys wanted revenge, I said: "No, let God take care of it. Besides if we did something, we would probably end up getting arrested."

About 18 months later, the co-worker was in a terrible accident and was hospitalized for weeks. I felt horrible and said to a friend: "I didn't think God would be so severe." My friend replied: " Maybe you were not his only victim."
emoticon Ah! So I let the guilt good too.
Sorry it cost you, but glad that you are well.
Healing thoughts are coming your way.

So sorry: car injured, faith in humanity injured too -- and costly both financially and emotionally.

    Gahhhhh.

Hope you're back in your own wheels soon and can drive on from this experience!

Hate when things like this happen. Years ago I had a vehicle that was hit in parking lots 3 times in 6 months. Finally my insurance company asked me if I really wanted to keep that car. There was proof that it was parked and I had insurance that covered the cost. Enjoy your ride and make sure you have insurance that covers these cost. Really not expensive in the long run
