Goals & Gratitude 8/31/19

I am still working on my medication and sleep. I took it at 5:00 PM yesterday and I was able to get up at 7:00 AM this morning. That's the first time that's happened in several months. It was so nice to be up and about. I had a reason to be up that early, but I didn't need any coffee. I did take a short nap this afternoon as I was feeling tired, but I woke up after about 20 or 30 minutes and I've been good since then. I took my meds at 6:30 PM tonight as I don't have to be up as early tomorrow. We'll see how I do in the morning. Basically, it looks like this new routine is a good thing.
I was able to go for not one, but two walks yesterday, one in the morning and one in the evening. I got up to 16,000 steps yesterday. I ran out of time to exercise today as I had several things going on, but I hope to get to the gym or out for a walk tomorrow evening. Today, I had volunteer orientation at the local pet adoption center (what used to be the pound). It is a really great place. All pets are adoption guaranteed (no kill), and most pets are adopted within a month of arriving. I was trained for both cats and dogs, but I will be mostly sticking to the cats. I can work with both the kittens and the cats. I hope to start next week Friday, and I am really looking forward to it. My commitment is 1-2 hours per week. I found out about this through a friend who does it who says they always need people to help with the cats. Guess more people are "dog folks."
After finishing that, I went to the grocery store and came home and made about 6 pounds of pasta salad for lunch for after church tomorrow. It's basically taking up my whole fridge! I have two giant containers and only a few other things in the fridge. It's a recipe I've used before that everyone likes, so it should be popular.
1) Finish reading for the week.
2) Do one hour of work each for Auditing and Managerial Accounting.
3) Do a little research for the Import/Export class project. (It's going to be interesting. I'll tell you all about it tomorrow.)
4) Do the dishes.
