I cannot believe it ---- but it should not be a surprise

Well the maintenance dept came today regarding warranty work on the new windows. The contractor came in first and he was looking at the window and moving the curtains back and forth and trying to tell me that he could not "lift the brackets up because then the curtains would not clear the casings. Having put such casings on when they put in the new windows, they moved the brackets, but now my curtains are too long to clear the baseboard heaters. The window installer did this without saying a word to me, and when I caught sight of what he was doing I tried to tell him he should have said something. But he carried on what he was doing without any attention to what I was saying.
The gentleman from the "maintenance dept" came in a few minutes later. He's the one I told about the problem I had with the way the windows were installed. I had already explained to him what the problem was (not to mention the poor job they did in taking out the old window and all the wall damage they had done) The construction worker told the maintenance person that he did not have the right materials to do the job and they left.
So...... I guess they will have to come back again, (if they decide to fix the problem) I am not going to put anything back for a couple of weeks so I don't have to move the furniture yet again......
