This is day seven without a cigarette and I feel motivated to continue not smoking. I've been trying to give up cigarettes for a long time and so it feels good to finally be making progress with that goal.
I haven't lost any weight but more importantly t haven't gained any more weight so I'm pleased in that regard.
I'm going to the Y next week to register for a twice-weekly exercise class. I'm not sure when the class is starting but I'll get all the details next week. I'm looking forward to increasing my activity level.
(Many) tears ago, I used to work as a fitness trainer and I never imagined I'd be this out of shape. It happened though. Chronic health conditions and obesity made exercise difficult and so I set it aside.
Over the past several years - since I lost the weight - I've done several walking programs and once I took some twice-weekly exercise via an instructor that made home-visits but I haven't really got into the groove of ongoing regular exercise. So my goal is to build some exercise routines into my week and ensure that I keep moving. Of course, I'll need to start slow.
I'm still trying to adjust to wearing the air-flow mask at night. I find it extremely difficult to fall asleep with the mask on. My brother and sister also have sleep apnea and they both said it took quiet a long while for them to adjust to wearing the mask. They assured me it gets easier with time and so I'm trying to patient with the process. My doctor insists that it's an important issue and is encouraging me to follow-through with the treatment.
