struggling to lose

Hello Sparkfriends,

I'm on day four of not smoking cigarettes. I've been using a vape (sparingly) and my plan is to continue using it for a couple weeks. Then I hope to wean off the vape and be nicotine free.

I'm still struggling with my weight gain - I just can't seem to get the scale to budge.

My weight typically fluctuates by five pounds (day-to-day, water-weight etc.) At present my fluctuation range seems to be 129-134. I'm going to try my best to return to my goal of 120-125. I hope and pray I don't gain any more. Knowing how big I was at one time (245), I'm terrified that I could end up there again.

My health and quality of life are so much better as a slim person!

I made some falafal yesterday (from a mix). Rather than deep-frying, I baked the falafal in a muffin-tin. They were a bit dry so I added hummus to the pita (along with the falafal, lettuce and tomato) and they tasted great. I like having healthy food made in advance and readily available - it helps me make the right choice when I'm hungry.

    You are tackling two things. Both will make you feel better in the end but it's not easy.
    It helps to have healthy things planned and ready to eat. I don't cook as much as I used to do, but I like to try new things.
