Not really sure what I want to say, but I am sure words will come. This week has been a struggle, as I was only scheduled to work one day this week. Next week I have 4 days on the schedule. The joy of PRN (as needed) work.

So, what have I been doing with all this "spare time?" Unpacking boxes? Keeping the apartment tidy? NO. Alas, I have found a new "addiction." I have been playing a LOT of Pokemon Go. It is kinda a silly little game on my phone, but it does get me outside and moving. I have been going out after I drop DH off at work, and in the process, learning my way around the new town. It helps that it is laid out on a grid.

I am trying to figure out what to do with the few things I brought home from my brother's. Specifically, the scout stuff that was my Grandpa's. I stopped by the Council office here in Fargo, and showed the staff there pictures of the items. Both were very impressed. These items do Spark joyful memories, so very much trying to figure out a way to display them in my home. However, both of the folks at the Scout office said that my grandpa's home council might appreciate them as historical artifacts. We will see. I want to honor my grandpa's memory, and haven't yet figured out what that "looks like" for me, yet.

Hope to see my Grand Forks son tomorrow. My daughter and her family are on vacation, last I knew they were in either Montana or Utah. Son-in-law sent pictures of the younger daughter in a beautiful location. I am sure the pictures don't do it justice. So, hoping for a weekend with a little family and looking forward to a work-filled week.

That's an amazing photo of your grandfather!!!

And sometimes, we need to stay busy as our unconscious mind processes recent events. Do what you need to do. And summer is the best time for outdoor activities!

I have some early pictures of my mom that I put in a frame with a three-oval matt.

I have been dealing with "family heirlooms" for several years now. There are several possibilities, and what's right for some things is not right for others. If your children are not interested in keeping your grandfather's things and the Council has a suggestion, perhaps you should take it. Kids do not value these things the way our generations did. Check with your kids and then decide from there. Better off at a Council display than in the kids' throw-away drawers.

Interesting. On and off work makes it hard to plan much in advance.
