Taking a break, and getting back on the bus...

Monday, July 22, 2019

I'm through the surgery. I have a couple of weeks of still not being able to exercise much, but overall, I think the surgery might be a success.

During those couple of weeks, I allowed myself to be off my food plan, to have things to eat, I normally wouldn't eat. And I'm not beating myself up over it. I had to do whatever I could to get through it, and I did. I even kept up the canning and house chores and child care, too, so it wasn't all bad. If I've gained weight, it wasn't much, but weigh in day isn't til the 1st.

However today's the day I decided to get back on the bus. No more ice cream, sweet treats or bowls of cereal that get me going. I didn't journal, log anything, or in any way be responsible on this plan during this time. I had to log other things for the clinic and it was just too much to do everything, so this was a conscious decision until I felt up to it.

Now, I feel up to it, and here we go again,...

Soo glad you've come through the surgery portion! You'll be fine at weigh-in, and now you're "back on the bus," so all's well that goes well.

Glad to know your surgery went well, and that you're recovering nicely! I'm amazed at how much you've still been able to do in the midst of it all.
