I was just too tired to blog last night. Yesterday was a fun day. Matthew detasseled, Mike and Jacob went to the county fair and I headed to Lamoni for my niece's birthday party. The driving was tiring, but I had a good time with my family.
Today has been a fairly calm day also. Matthew and I were up at 4:00 so that he could be out the door for detasseling. I got my shower taken and had my breakfast and then it was off to the church. I got to use the new piano today. The sound is a little different, but I like it! Part of the issue with the other one is that it was starting to sound tinny. It's still going to take some adjusting to get used to it, but that is just fine with me!
Once home Jacob and I made sure that he was completely packed for camp. I took him back in to town just before 1:00. I'm so grateful to Kristy that she is willing to drive the boys every year. Granted, she knows the camp well because she went to the same one when she was a kid. So, Jacob is gone until Thursday!
Matthew got home from detasseling just after 5:00, so he had a long day. At least the weather was cooler for him.
I spent my afternoon just trying to enjoy the peace and quiet. It was a little hard because Mike was outside working on the west side of the house. We lost the gutter over the winter, so he's working on replacing it. That means a lot of noise!
1. Nutrition: I have slipped again - I did so well on my trip last week and the first part of this week, but little things are slipping back in again. Focus!
2. I'm resting today. I was originally going to do some Body Groove, but I'm just tired and need to rest.
3. Personal: I did read my Bible and devotional and will have prayer/journal time before bed.
Tomorrow - Matthew is detasseling and I'm not sure what my day will hold yet. I don't really want to go anywhere, but we might go out for a belated anniversary supper. We'll see.
