Christmas in July

Thursday, July 18, 2019

Right now, I'm enjoying a little downtime. I'm watching a Hallmark Christmas movie. I've watched a few of them lately. They are fun and relaxing. My son and I watched all eight seasons of Game of Thrones in eleven days. Then we watched all of season three of Stranger Things in one day. That was an intense twelve days!

My last blog was a bit on the dramatic side. I'm a little embarrassed by that. On the other hand, I did not binge when I was freaking out. I didn't eat my feelings. I'm really happy about that. I suppose if I need to create a melodramatic blog every once in a while to stay sane, that's okay.

I am going to bed early tonight. I got my air conditioner fixed, and the nice, cool air is making me drowsy. Plus, today I fell in my bedroom. I tried to stop my fall by grabbing my bedpost. I just ended up smacking my wrist and turning my arm in an awkward position. I have a really sore shoulder now. I can't lift my arm too high now. I hope it's a minor injury.

I've been over my calories for the last three days. I haven't gone crazy, but I need to watch myself a little more. The next few days I'm going to be more careful with my food, plus I'm going to get a little more exercise. I just need to watch my shoulder.

Stay cool everyone!

I hope your shoulder is better now! I need to binge on a good Netflix series!! Your blogs are great. You are doing so well on your journey, so please don't worry about being over some days. They should even out.

As for not eating your feelings, tell me how to do that please!! I am the worst at mindless emotional eating. Looking for comfort in all the wrong places- that would make a good song!! emoticon

We finished Stranger Things pretty quickly, too! Watching Christmas movies in July makes me feel cooler... I went by the Hallmark store today, and they've got a bunch of their new ornaments out and a lot of Halloween stuff, too! I can't wait!

Sometimes a good binge-watch is in order. Glad your mood's improved, and yes, everyone's entitled to a dramatic blog post once in a while. Sorry about the fall; here's hoping it's nothing serious. Congratulations on avoiding the stress-eating. My track record with that is... well, I'm getting better, a little at a time. If nothing else, keeping healthier stuff on hand is making it less of a setback when it happens.

I love a good TV binge now and then! But,, time to get some exercise in now.

Glad to hear the drama Blog helped avoid mindless eating to drown emotions. Definitely a good trade!

We are having "Saturday Matinee" at church this week. Movie is "An Interview with God" That is at 2pm, followed by discussion. Then we have our 'casual' church service at 5pm including the baptism of my Daughter's MIL. Hubby & I are the sponsors....then I have offered to bring a small crackers/cheese and fruit for fellowship time to welcome Beckie following her baptism.
    I struggle being a hostess.
