Home Sweet Home

Tuesday, July 16, 2019

I'm so happy to be home! My goal was to start right away into the routines I created while on vacation, did I crush it? Nope. I felt horrible yesterday, like I had a hangover, feel pretty much the same way this morning, but barely slept last night because of all the sleeping I did during the day yesterday. Groggy does not even begin to cover it.

So I figured I'd sit down with a cup of coffee to wake up and blog and then start my morning routine and get on with my day. I may have to take a short nap later (I really tossed and turned last night!) but it will be a start. What I really want is to go curl back up in bed with my pup and sleep.

I'll try to download the pics from vacation today so that tomorrow's blog will be mostly pictures.

I think the last week of trying (and failing) to pretend to have a good time for my in-laws and kids sake wore me out completely.

It is so good to be home. To have my own bed, that is not tiny, and is comfy and soft. We took our pillows with us, but it was a stark contrast to the hard beds.

Halfway through coffee and head is pounding... I may have to take a morning nap instead of later. I really want to get into working on those routines and making them a habit, but health comes first, and sure don't feel good!

Now to concentrate on recovering and getting into habits that I need, and the kids need, so that things run more smoothly around here. I'm going to go grab some breakfast and see how I feel after that.

Hope you have an awesome Tuesday!!

Oh, those hard beds! What were they thinking? We rented a house on Oak Island once and took every other piece of bedding to put between us and what they considered a sleepable mattress for a bit more cushioning. Sleeping on a couch might have been better.

It took me a few days to get back into the swing of things after being on vacation! Let yourself rest and fall back into your routines naturally! emoticon

My migraines used to show up AFTER a very stressful time. Hope you feel better soon and are able to get on track. Meanwhile I have a mantra for you. Good enough is good enough- which roughly means progress, not perfection.

Home sweet home indeed! You survived! The routines will be there after a nap - progress not perfection. Take care of you - your health is your number one goal. Praying that no migraines show up to derail it.
