-because it is Sunday---and it should be a day to rest--- (which doesn't seem to happen in this house!)-
Yesterday was grocery day---I left Himself at home with the Germans,as in dogs, and I found fresh blueberries, corn on the cob, leaf lettuce , which has come down in price, to $2 a bunch, cauliflower which is $1.97 and 2 watermelons ----
Now, if they were they only things that I purchased, himself and I would be rich---- but eggs, cheeses, yogurt, and cat food cans and dog food cans crept into my cart--plus fish, ground beef, a roast of beef (Prime rib)- eggs, milk, oranges, and half and half cream.
-no donuts made it home here.
Our problem here is, we throw out so much of what we buy--
I try to lay out, daily , what we will have for dinner---
Somehow, near the end of a week, some veggies never make it out of the frig--
I need a cook-----maybe what I need is a wife who enjoys cooking---
Himself is pretty good at cooking---most days---after I organize the meal---
Maybe I need to begin to save simple Spark recipes---
Breakfast and lunch are meals we enjoy--dinner, not so much---
---Perhaps we eat too much!---- Funny how one's appetite changes as one ages!
-maybe we are so busy doing outdoor chores, we don't have the energy to cook anymore---
Maybe we shudda been a Queen----just sitting around on her throne---
Lord love a duck--and we must remember not to forget stuff!
