Got Side Tracked.

I have not really been on SP for a few months. Found out in the middle of February that the owner of the house we were renting and moved into in September decided to sell and we had until the end of April to move. Trying to find a place for 6 people is hard enough, but when the floor plan needs to accommodate someone in a wheelchair and staying within a budget, makes it a bit harder. But we found a place and got moved in, only to find out they will be selling the house when our lease is up. It would have been nice to know that before signing the lease. I have my 90 year old mother who has dementia living with me and the moves are very difficult for her. I also have my sister living with me and she has stage 4 congestive heart failure. So I will have to go through the whole process of finding a place again and we all get to pack and move again.
To top it off, we had a very wet Spring. Rain, Rain, Rain, Clouds, Clouds, Clouds, Cold, Cold, Cold. Between these two things I got very side tracked. I didn't really gain any weigh, but I didn't lose any either. So it definitely could have been worse. I have two issues that I struggle with, the first being motivation. Right now I do not seem to be motivated to do much of anything except work. It is not just exercise and eating healthy though, it is pretty much anything. When I get home from work all I want to do is lay on the bed and read or perhaps watch some tv. I am not depressed, just not motivated.
The other issue is planning meals. With 5 adults in the house, it is impossible to find a meal that everyone will like, except for pizza or subs. My niece and I are trying to get healthy, but the others are not. My sister, who is 65, will throw a fit if she doesn't have mashed potatoes for most dinners. She has no interest in eating well, since she is on hospice. This makes it very difficult for my niece and I since money is tight. How many meals can we afford for one dinner. My niece and I were talking last night and we decide we are going to try to work in more healthy options. It is hard for us to buy all kinds of fruits and veggies when we can only eat so much before they go bad. The others will not eat them. I wish the food companies would make smaller packages of lettuce. It does not matter if we buy the bag of lettuce or a head of lettuce, it goes bad before we can eat it all. Same with mushrooms, peppers, cukes, etc. On a good note, I do have a grill now, so I am going to try to find some good chicken recipes for the grill. I also have a co-worker who has some good recipe ideas and is willing to help keep me accountable. This will be a first for me, as I have few friends and none of them are willing or have time for helping me out. I know I have to do this myself, no one can do it for me, but being an accountability buddy doesn't take that much time or effort.
Ok, back to work. Have a wonderful and safe day everyone.
