This morning I woke up with the anticipation of going to the Renaissance Fair with DD and GS. I figured they had been up late watching fireworks so I sent at text letting DD know I would be there at 1000. At 945 I tried to call her, numerous times. I finally decided they had a later night than I had figured and gave up on the idea of the fair. I went outside and started weeding in the front and trimming the tree branches that had been hitting me when I mowed. Then I went to the mall to pick up some things I needed for the cruise. While I was there DD finally returned my text and call. She had totally forgotten, was apologetic and asked if we could still go.

We had a good time at the Faire watching Magicians, Jugglers, Fairies blowing giant bubbles, and knights fighting with swords for a golden purse. After watching the knights DD wanted a sword and he hasn't taken it off yet.

On the way home DD got a text from "Dad" saying he was going to a friends for some video gaming and he would be home around 2300. This was 1800 that we were getting home, DD needed some sleep before her shift which starts at 2400. She has to leave at 2315 to be at work on time and "Dad" is notoriously unreliable. So, I ended up with GS for the night. He's not happy right now as I try to get him to stay in bed. He hasn't been sleep trained so he falls asleep whenever it happens. He uses all the tricks - I want water, candy, toy, tablet, phone, call Mommy, etc. It's past 2300 and I think he finally went to sleep.

I'm tired and going to bed.

Oh, my worRRRD, I've always wanted to go to a Renaissance Fair!! I MUST put this on my List. I am sooo *happy* your DD still wanted to go. ::gasps:: It sounds like a very ENCHANTING time of ~*~magic~*~ The closest I've been to knowing much about the Faire besides reading about it is, having a neighbor, who was the Court Jester (in Flagstaff, AZ) by the name of, Motley, who did NOT live with our modern conveniences and paid her way by making armor for the tournaments.
LOL!! Sounds like you're "on to" your GS's tricks!!
