More silver linings!

It's the second day past the first surgery and things are working well and as planned. If all goes well, I'll have the second surgery on the 15th. On the surrounding time of the surgery, I didn't worry about ice cream, jello, crackers, or things I usually don't eat. I indulged in them and enjoyed them. But I'm back on my food plan and feeling good about it.
I'm not worried about breaking this stall as long as my body is stressed from the surgeries, just maintaining where I'm at. Logging has been really helpful, and it's hard to eat enough of the healthy foods I normally eat. I eat less when pain is higher. Getting less exercise because I have to be fairly still doesn't help, but I'm trying to alternate times of sitting, lying and walking as much as I can. I had to take a pain pill to sleep last night, but I had a good night and no big breakthrough pain meds during the day. So I'm calling it a win so far! I'm learning things through this experience that might help me later...
I managed to get gooseberries frozen and jammed before I went in, and requested that my dh pick more today. This may be the only time in history I don't gripe about how long they take to clean and how long I have to sit doing it. I'm learning to use a new computer, and do things in ways I never thought about before.
For instance, if you can't bend and you drop your tablet on the floor, how do you pick it up? Well, a long handled dustpan and a broom works! It's all in thinking outside the box, and considering new ways of doing things. I guess I really needed this lesson!
