30 Day Challenge Complete
Tuesday, June 25, 2019
My 30 day boxing challenge is officially done. The goal was 25 boxing classes in 30 days, and I completed 28. I used my calendar, pictured here, to track progress. Each sticker represents a class completed (the challenge started in the last week of May, which is not in the picture).
Some final thoughts: I'm really proud of myself (and my challenge partner - actually the challenge is 50 classes between two people - and we both kept up class for class!).
It wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. Yes, I was exhausted all the time, no I didn't have enough time to do much else aside from work, the challenge, and the necessities, but I had enough energy to go almost every single day - sometimes twice a day! I absolutely feel healthier. I lost no weight at all, but noticeably gained a significant amount of muscle, and more definition in my arms and shoulders. And, of course, my blood pressure is down, and my doctor is really happy with me.
My plan going forward is to keep going to class every day I possibly can, meaning if I don't have any other commitments besides work, I will go to boxing. I'm aiming for 4-5 classes a week, and I hope to add in some conditioning exercises at home on days when I'm not going to class.
Well, these 30 days just *flew* by. But the hustle continues, and I hope the progress continues as well!
Thanks for reading. Enjoy the rest of your week!
