al dente potatoes

Maybe I should have put them in the pan a bit earlier, as they weren't quite ready by the time the chicken was in prime eating shape. That's ok, a little crunch never hurt no one.

Did make a trip to the grocery store, about a 15 minute walk there and back, and 20 minutes wandering inside the store, trying to gauge what I could use in a week. Probably overestimated, since the chicken is worth two days cooking, and then I got some pork besides, and I have a couple of places I want to check out before I check out of this hotel and return stateside.

Grabbed a spicy butter chicken sauce this time, which isn't as good as the garlic and herb marinade from last week, alas. Still tasty, though certainly not spicy. Also got a can of ketchup pringles, since we don't do the ketchup flavored chips on our side of the border. I liked the ketchup doritos better, at first taste. I'm usually not much of a ketchup fan, though.

I did fail to get any oil, though, so the onions and potatoes were cooking in a bit of water before I added the chicken and sauce. Perhaps healthier than way, though might have been tastier with the oil.

Rambling, belly full, and kinda tired. Might be a short night in this hotel suite. We'll see if I can manage to actually fall asleep before midnight, though, it's been a trick I haven't been able to accomplish very often while I've been here, and the alarm keeps going off at 5:22 AM.
