Daily Highlight 102 - Movies

Wednesday, June 12, 2019

Highlight -
Hit Happy Hour, before the movie, for dinner. My rule when out is: drink OR dessert, not both. I talk a lot about drinking, but that is it mostly talk, rarely drink. Stuck to my rule and made sensible choices during dinner. No dessert.
Off to the theater. The aroma of hot buttered popcorn wafted through the air, a sign distracted me: "limited time: Madras popcorn." Huh! Never heard of that. Always something new.
My treat for the movie, is more of a tool. Tiny hard candy to soothe my throat and prevent coughing. I had three @ 12 calories each. I used to devour massive quantities of that hot buttered popcorn, not any more..
Our next adventure is the Moms will take the boys(men) to dinner and the movies in August. Our sons love the action flicks and The Rock.

Grateful -
Good friends that are in a similar boat where we can share info and experiences;
That I am an instigator.
That I have so many options. (Too many?)

    Too many options to be grateful for? I think not! I ended up at the movies, too. My daughter and I took my 2 grandsons. I did refuse to carry the bucket of popcorn for the boys, though. That seemed like cruel an unusual punishment!
