Goals & Gratitude 6/7/19

I slept much better last night. I was out within a half hour of going to bed and woke up easily this morning. It was nice because usually I struggle to wake up. Partly that's from one of my medications which is a sedative. It doesn't help me to fall asleep, but it helps me to stay asleep. One Spark Friend asked if I drink too much coffee. I actually drink very little coffee. I drink coffee usually two days a week (Sundays and one other day) and then I stop drinking it by 2 PM so it has time to get out of my system. I am just pretty much convinced that I am a bad sleeper. I have struggled to sleep for years and years, since I was a teenager actually. At this point I am used to it and just try to ride out the sleepless nights. There's no use getting frustrated over it because it's pointless. My doctor has tried to adjust my meds over the years so that I would sleep easier. This only works in the short run. I tend to adjust to the side effects of my medication (like sleepiness) within a few weeks, so I might only sleep better for a month or two. That's something, but there is no long term solution for me. The best solution is for me to get up really early and be busy all day, but I am not a morning person so convincing me to get out of bed early is really, really hard. I've been struggling with that recently, too.
I went to the gym this morning and worked really hard. I did 50 minutes on the stationary bike and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I don't burn as many calories on the stationary bike as I do walking but I like both. I like that I can read my book while on the bike. When I walk I listen to books so I get plenty of reading done. I also like that the gym is air conditioned. I still sweat, but it's not unpleasant.
I got most of my final project/paper finished this afternoon. I wrote sections two through five, so I just have section six to do tomorrow. And then I have to edit it. I'm hoping that I'll be able to turn it in tomorrow evening. I did discussion board today. I have to reply to three other people, but only two of us have posted so far so there's not much to say. I'm hoping people will post tomorrow when they realize they have to do it. I figure everyone is super busy with the final project. I know I am...
Tomorrow, I have to drive to the county fairgrounds to turn in my jam for judging next September during the Fair. I have strawberry jam, apple butter, and orange marmalade for judging. I won a second place ribbon last year for the orange marmalade, so I hope to replicate that. Everyone has told me it'd good! The apple butter was my favorite this year. Okay, I'm off to prepare my labels and recipes for that.
1) Get to the Fairgrounds.
2) Finish my final project/paper.
3) Finish dealing with the laundry.
Today I'm Grateful For...
1) That the weather was beautiful out today. It didn't even hit 80 degrees.
2) That the gym wasn't very crowded.
3) That I'm almost done with my paper!
