Getting Ready For Work

Friday, May 17, 2019

I work 2pm-10:30pm

Today I had a lazy morning. After having coffee at 7am, I decided to take a nap. Guess after going to sleep at 1am every night, I needed to catch up on my rest. Finally took my shower at noon and got dressed for work.

Used cocoa butter moisturizer on my legs because they were looking dry and scaly. I guess that's normal when you live in such a dry desert. I am now sitting outside to type this post. No need for a hair dryer when you live in Death Valley.

It's funny how guests traveling through here expect you to be able to predict the weather. Yesterday it was very windy with sand blowing everywhere making it hard to see the road. Everyone thought I would know how long the wind would last. Hmm, let me put a call in to mother nature and ask her when she would relax and stop the wind. Um, if you can't predict the weather at your home then why do you expect me to be able to do it at my home?

It was a fairly slow night at work last night. Hopefully it will be a bit busier tonight or at least busy enough so I don't think of snacking.

I think tourists feel that you might know the weather patterns in the desert, but they are not as predictable as others think. You should write a book. Interesting place to live.

Very funny about the weather. Personally I can think of a million questions that I would want to ask you about where you live but would not have thought you could control the weather. LOL. My husband wants to know if there are sun-bleached cattle skulls lying all over the ground. LOL. He watches too many T.V. westerns.
