31st in 4th Cookery Challenge: Brinjal Chana Dal, own recipe

Spurred on by the purchase of cheap aubergines from Costco, and the leftovers of a packet of yellow split peas getting old.
Put in the slow cooker, but cooked the onions and spices in a frying pan before adding them in for better flavour. I am confident cooking Indian foods, so made up the spices I thought would work, kept it simple and it was just right.
Was good! Little Baby ate her nice curry dinner (ignored the rice and cauliflower) and Bigger Pickle ate most of hers and then have 2 servings for lunch tomorrow and another 4 for the freezer. Microwaved poppadoms and some locally made super chunky mango chutney to complete.
