Daily highlight: exercise bike coming back from a setback

Hi SparkMembers -- I hope you had a good Monday and are ready for Tuesday!

I had a setback a couple of weeks ago. I played tennis with my brother in the hot sun when I was already tired. That gave me the whammy (in technical terms) and knocked me back a few steps.

I took it easy with fitness for the past couple of weeks -- still getting a fair amount of minutes per day, but with more of a focus in low-intensity exercise.

Today I did 20 minutes on the exercise bike for the first time since this setback. I just lowered my level by one from 11 to 10. This felt perfect and I got a pretty good sweat without over-doing it. I sometimes enhance my sweating intentionally by wearing a beanie hat during the workout because of the positive benefits of sweating. Then, I make sure to drink water afterwards.

Setbacks can be frustrating, but they are part of life. Always remember that it's how you handle setbacks that is the most important element for most setbacks. Here is my formula for handling setbacks if you are interested:
