What I want to eat

If you are not on any kind of diet, then you might eat whatever you like everyday. Which to me sounds pretty good because if I like a certain food, then I sure don't want to be deprived of ever having it.
If I am also wanting to lose weight, then I see lots of websites telling me that I shouldn't eat some of my recent favorite foods like ice cream, easy processed food that I can zap in a microwave in minutes, or anything from Panda Express. I also see to many ads for diet pills that claim I don't have to count calories because they will melt fat in my sleep.
First, I am still waiting for that magic pill that really does what it claims. I want to go to sleep as a 200# person and wake up weighing 120#. I bet they couldn't even make that work for a Sci-fi movie. But its the unrealistic miracle that I want.. People can laugh and then say ..now what do you really want. DUH, I just told you. If you only ask " what do you want?" , don't expect a sane answer. If you asked something along the lines of... What do you want to look like, what size do you want to be, if you were smaller then how would you spend your day, ....etc., then my answers would be different and probably sound more logically sane.
But I get tired of someone asking me what I want to eat and then instantly throwing out reasons why my answer is bad/wrong. Noo, maybe your question is wrong. Sorry but sometimes "wants" have nothing to do with logic.
About the closest I have come to finding that magic pill was a little over a year ago when I half-tried a low-carb diet. I actually had to force myself to eat enough most days because that really did make it possible to not feel hungry. Since then I have moved a couple times and just recently got into a location where I have access to a kitchen again. See on my past keto/low-carb diet I could eat enough of good food that I wouldn't even want ice cream or anything from Panda Express.
Maybe the next time someone asks me what I want to eat, my answer should just be pork rinds with guacamole, or a huge salad topped with a whole avocado.
Hmm, maybe there is a magic pill hidden inside avocados.
