Holy Cow Last Week Was AWFUL!

Monday, April 01, 2019

Had a terrible week as far as general self care. Was working on a deadline on a huge project and had one of those if anything can go wrong it will weeks and just surviving it is a huge victory. Lessons learned are still being processed. Today we are going back to basics and getting back on track. Still not getting on the scale. Would probably be horrified...even though I had to take the dress I wore to the event up SIX inches just to keep it from falling off me. So still on the right track just hit a rough patch.

Going back to the skating rink today. This scares me a little. It's the first time I will have been on wheels since my concussion. Even though I didn't fall while skating, there's some PTSD in play here I can tell. Major fear of falling that really have to work through. Today's SparkCoach task is to do something that scares me so there we go.

Got to get to work. More soon.

Ramona I didn't fall while skating but I did sustain a mild TBI when I did fall. I'm about 10 weeks post injury and paranoid about falling again. It has really diminished my activity levels. I'll be wearing my helmet at the rink this afternoon for sure.

I understand that fear of falling after a fall... I feel skating and developed a TBI... I'm very cautious about doing anything that would cause another injury. Just take it slow. As for the rest, refocus, and keep going!

I’m sorry you’ve had such a rough week :/ but that’s really good that you’re getting back on track! And I think you’re right for not checking the scale...just give yourself some time
