At least for now. My world is once again moving at a very fast pace as my health has improved considerably and I am within 5 pounds of my healthy BMI. I haven't tracked for a couple of weeks and with a diet heavy in plant based foods I have not had the cravings and struggles. I am even off coffee...an unplanned and totally surprising event! I found it simply had no more allure, having been replaced by hot lemon ginger "tea" first thing in the morning. Lots of fresh "green" juices, fruit/vegetable smoothies, big salads with fruit and nuts, coconut water, and herbal tea have been so satisfying and I have lost 15 pounds. I am very aware of my past failures which came from not making the switch from a diet mentality to lifestyle mentality so that's my main focus now. It is a great help that my husband sees my results and now we are working to make small lasting changes in his diet.
Besides weight loss, I can now stand up without support and can walk immediately instead of having to painfully adjust myself! I don't look like a crippled old lady anymore! (Praise God!) I was developing urinary incontinence which is now gone. My blood sugar has leveled out with no crashes even when I have a "dessert juice" (my favorite is a sweet potato juiced with 2 pears and sprinkled with cinnamon!). I just feel like "ME" again!
I am thankful for those of you who have supported and encouraged me from Day 1 and apologize that I haven't been able to keep up with you for the past week or so. We have been truck shopping in what spare time we have and are about to make that jump. At 71 he just does not want to give up trucking but we are sort of downsizing in preparation for "semi" retirement of maybe a load a week.
Well, I have rambled on long enough and if you have read this far, thank you! You are tough!

Best wishes to all who come this way!
Most of all, my thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ, without Whose help I could not have succeeded!

PS. I forgot to add that my blood pressure is now low normal from 168/90.
